This original artwork is a pointillism piece that was inspired by a photo I took while scuba diving in the Philippines. The current had levelled off since the early morning dive, and we were able to float easily along the coral reef. I came across three large sea turtles resting on the corals. This would be exciting under normal circumstances, but this time, all three had remoras attached to their shells. These fish have suction cups on the tops of their heads so they can fix themselves to the bellies of larger animals like whales. However, they had positioned themselves upside down. It was quite the sight to see and I was inspired to create this artwork.  I called it "Measured Quiet" because it reflects the silence and calmness I feel when diving.
